Skin Tags (Acrochordons)
Small, soft, flesh-coloured growths that hang off the skin by a thin stalk. Commonly appear on the neck, underarms, eyelids, groin, and under breasts.
Seborrheic Keratosis
Raised, wart-like brown or black growths that appear with age. Often described as having a "stuck-on" appearance. Completely benign but can look concerning.
Milia
Small, white bumps (tiny cysts) filled with keratin protein. Common around the eyes, cheeks, and nose. Cannot be removed by squeezing.
Benign Moles (Nevi)
Raised or flat pigmented spots on the skin. We can remove benign moles for cosmetic reasons after proper assessment.
Blood Spots (Cherry Angiomas)
Small, bright red spots caused by dilated blood vessels. Completely harmless but can appear suddenly and multiply with age.
Important: We only remove benign (non-cancerous) lesions. Any suspicious or changing growths must be evaluated by a GP or dermatologist before removal. We can refer you if needed.

How We Remove Skin Lesions
We use several techniques depending on lesion type, size, and location
Cryotherapy (Freezing)
Liquid nitrogen is applied to freeze the lesion, causing it to fall off over 1–2 weeks. Ideal for seborrheic keratosis, skin tags, and some benign moles. Minimal discomfort, no cutting required.
Electrocautery (Heat)
A fine probe delivers controlled heat to destroy the lesion tissue. Excellent for skin tags, blood spots, and milia. Quick, precise, minimal bleeding.
Surgical Excision
Small lesions are carefully cut away under local anaesthetic. Used for larger moles or lesions requiring histology (laboratory analysis). Leaves a small, fine line scar that fades significantly over time.
Shave Excision
Raised lesions are shaved flush with the skin surface under local anaesthetic. Used for raised moles and seborrheic keratosis. Minimal scarring, fast healing.
Curettage & Cautery
Lesion is scraped away (curettage) and the base is sealed with heat (cautery). Effective for raised lesions and ensures complete removal.

Before Your Appointment
- Consultation: We'll assess the lesion to confirm it's benign and discuss the best removal method
- Clean skin: Arrive with the area clean and free of makeup/lotions
- No special preparation: Most treatments require no advance preparation
During Your Treatment
Small Lesions (skin tags, milia, blood spots)
Quick 5–10 minute procedure. You may feel a brief sting, pinch, or cold sensation depending on the method used. Most clients describe it as very tolerable.
Larger Lesions (moles, seborrheic keratosis)
Local anaesthetic is injected to numb the area (brief pinch). Once numb, you won't feel the removal procedure. Treatment takes 10–20 minutes depending on size and number of lesions.
After Your Treatment
Days 1–7
Scabs form and begin to heal. Keep area clean and dry. Apply prescribed ointment as directed. Avoid picking scabs — let them fall off naturally.
Weeks 1–4
Scabs fall off revealing fresh, pink skin underneath. Pink tone gradually fades to match surrounding skin.
Months 1–6
Skin continues maturing and any residual pink colour fades. Most removal sites become barely visible or blend completely with surrounding skin.
Aftercare & Healing Times
- Keep area clean and dry for 48 hours
- Apply prescribed antibiotic ointment 2–3 times daily
- Don't pick scabs or scratch the healing area
- Avoid sun exposure and apply SPF 30+ once healed
- No swimming, hot tubs, or saunas for 1 week
- Avoid makeup on the area until fully healed (usually 5–7 days)
